Tropical Cyclone Services

These are the various warnings issued to the public by the JakartaTCWC, in both English and Indonesian language.

  • Extreme Weather Warning
    Warning for districts that have a high probablility of extreme weather (rainfall greater than 50mm per day, wind speed greater than 25 knots) due to a Tropical Cyclone.

    Information bulletin of Tropical Cyclone occurrence around the Indonesian region (20 degrees north to 20 degrees south, 80 degrees east to 150 degrees east), including a brief description of the impact on the Indonesian region.

Tropical Cyclone Service Areas

Tropical cyclones develop over tropical waters around Indonesia during the warmer months, mostly November to April. BMG provides warning services for these cyclones. Warnings are issued for land-based communities under threat and for mariners.  Routine outlooks are also issued during the cyclone season.
